What started as a tiled wet room became a space the client genuinely looked forward to walking into. The rest was layering: a solid wood desk, a vintage leather chair, a sculptural pendant, a Persian rug, a styled shelf.

Project Den

Vienna · Single room · Designed 2024

A tiled gym shower room in a former school, designed into an office and recording studio. The starting point was a wet room — tiled floors and walls, exposed plumbing, a sink bolted to the wall that couldn't come out. The brief: turn it into a workspace and recording studio without demolishing anything.

Microcement was specified across every tile, floor and walls. One material change, and the room had a completely different baseline.

The sink wasn't movable, so I designed a pedestal structure to go over it — hiding the fixture and turning a permanent obstacle into a clean usable surface. Soundproofing followed, paired with a full-length deep green curtain across the back wall that doubled as the room's visual anchor.
