Cozy living room with sleeping dogs

The rest was patience. Letting the rooms come together slowly, one decision at a time. The result is a home that feels collected, not decorated.

Project Cocoon

Vienna · Apartment · Designed 2025

The starting point was an empty apartment — tall ceilings, old floors, light through the windows, and nothing else. The brief was to build a home that felt warm without being heavy. Layered without being cluttered. Lived-in from the first day.

Every piece was chosen one at a time. Some were vintage finds from Vienna dealers and flea markets, others new but selected to age well rather than date. The palette stayed grounded: warm wood, soft textiles, deep greens, brass, leather. Lighting was kept low and layered throughout — no overhead fixtures, only lamps and pendants. Texture did most of the work.
